Mountain Bikes Apart is a community site for mountain biking, centred mainly on Scottish mountain biking trails and stories from trips around the country.

The site recently required a facelift, having remained the same for around 3 years. The main requirements were a magazine style format, allowing the easy viewing of a large number of articles from across the site, and they had to be presented in a simple but attractive format.

This site is built around a blogging platform, allowing full control for the website manager, including simple management of images and articles alike.

This was a delicate job as there was a great deal of old content present on the site and one of the main aims of the upgrade was to maintain the same site structure and sitemap, preserving each article’s search engine ranking with google.
